Honeymoon Delights at the Cape Grace, Cape Town
Honeymoon Stay at The Cape Grace!
Africa&You’s Kylie Taute got married last month! As a honeymoon gift Kylie spent a night at the Cape Grace Hotel in Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront. One of Cape Town’s iconic hotels, filled with delightful trinkets and exuding elegant luxury, Kylie shares her Cape Grace honeymoon experience:
“What a wonderful place to stay! Upon arrival at The Cape Grace, we were kindly helped by one of the friendly staff with all our luggage to make our way into the hotel. We were then greeted by the lovely staff in the reception area, who offered us delicious iced tea and / or water. After quickly going through all the formalities we were taken on a lovely tour of the beautiful hotel, which helped us to know where everything was for our stay at the hotel.
We were fortunate enough to be in a room which overlooked the harbour and the Mountain – what a treat! The rooms were lovely and spacious with beautiful decor, and an amazing marble en-suite bathroom. As it was our honeymoon, they really spoilt us with a bottle of delicious champagne and chocolate – such a lovely touch.
The Cape Grace is in a perfect location, as it is right by the V & A Waterfront (just a short walk away). We decided to spend the afternoon browsing the Waterfront, as we were right there and it has so much to offer in terms of restaurants, pubs, entertainment and shopping. After a long afternoon of walking around the Waterfront and having dinner at one of the restaurants, we walked back to the hotel. Our room was nicely setup for us with our beds turned down ready for bed, with the side lamps lit up and slippers waiting next to our bed. We had a very comfortable night’s sleep in the king sized bed.
In the morning we woke up full of energy and ready for the day ahead. We made our way to the restaurant at The Cape Grace Hotel, and were greeted by all the friendly and helpful staff. There was such a wide choice of delicious food, that we had to be careful not to order more than we could stomach! There was fruit, yogurt, nuts, pastries, cheeses, omelettes, pancakes, etc – everything that we had was absolutely delicious!
We had a fabulous time at The Cape Grace and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing place to stay in Cape Town. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable, the staff are so friendly and helpful, the views are amazing, it’s so close to the V & A Waterfront, and the food in the restaurant is so delicious! My husband and I are definitely hoping to get to go there again, even if it is just for a meal. What a wonderful Place!!”
